Eliza Kopalak
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
My name is Eliza Kopalak. I am an experienced psychotherapist working with individuals, groups, and couples online and in practice in Athens. My approach is integrative with a transpersonal perspective. My work is influenced by additional training in Process Work Psychology in Amsterdam, and the US, as well as my long-life fascination with Bon Buddhism and South American shamanism.
To ensure the safety of my practice I am committed to my own professional and personal development as well as regular supervision with a highly experienced colleague. I am a registered member of the UKCP and I adhere to their Ethical Framework.
My Approach
Psychosynthesis is an integrative and transpersonal psychological approach, particularly focusing on human potential. It takes into account the physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental dimensions in which we exist; facilitates access to wisdom and intuition, and fosters healthy self-esteem.
Process Work Psychology connects outer experience in the world to your inner reality, and treats any issues you may have as an opportunity to access your bigger self/bigger mind.
I work relationally and work very well with relational issues, dreams, and body. I combine more established, conventional with modern, cutting-edge psychological approaches. Over the years of practice, I have honed my skill of being present: containing, and helping you to transform whatever it is that you need to look into.
I strongly believe that problems are growth opportunities - stepping stones to a more meaningful, fulfilling, and authentic life and relationships.
At the core of my work is respect for who you are, calling on your inner wisdom, and intrinsic awareness that is sometimes clouded by intrusive, habitual thoughts, beliefs, and emotional patterns repeated all over again. We will work together to free you from it so that you can connect to more of yourself, and find direction and meaning.
'No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it'. Albert Einstein
COUPLES THERAPY
Couples Therapy aims towards deepening connection and intimacy with your partner. It facilitates honest communication and reaches the roots of issues to gain a deeper understanding of patterns and wounds so you can move forward with a renewed sense of openness, rediscovered potential, and fulfillment. You may experience a feeling of connection, being understood and seen, love, compassion, or playfulness.
I encourage you to give yourself a chance and take the first step.
First Steps
Our first meeting is a time to get to know each other. It is an opportunity to ask questions about my approach or the process of counseling and for us to explore what brings you to therapy at this moment. By the time we end the session, we should have an idea of whether we want to work together.
