About Me

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist based in Harrow and Kings Cross, London. I offer a therapy space which is friendly, calm and purposeful. A space for you to explore, understand and process your thoughts, feelings and experiences.

Whilst I focus on what you bring to therapy, I specialise in working with anxiety and relationship issues. This covers a range of difficulties including those related to self-esteem, social anxiety, specific phobias, family and intimate relationships, self-destructive behaviours and OCD. In sessions, I am interested in your feelings, experiences, patterns in all relationships, and how your past and present experiences drive some of the challenges you encounter.

Therapy is a step to take, but it should also be a welcoming space where you can go at your own pace. Ultimately, the sessions aim to encourage your self-esteem, autonomy and choices, making your experiences less restricted by feelings; empowering you to think openly about what is happening and to work out how to move forward.

If you would like to arrange an initial appointment or speak further, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

I began as a counsellor around 14 years ago, working with people at risk of suicide. I have since worked in the NHS, private and charity sectors.

My training was in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural (CBT) and person-centred approaches to counselling and psychotherapy. Counselling Psychology is a field which has a humanistic value base at its core. It does not assume a superiority of one way of thinking, feeling or knowing. It does not actively seek to convince or categorise. This means that I adopt an open-minded stance - I do not wish to put you in a box.

I have worked with multiple diversities and adopt an anti-oppressive practice.

I have also worked within a Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy model, which considers core ways of responding and reacting to significant others, facilitating new or pre-existing ways to relate.
