About Me

I’m a psychosynthesis / integrative therapist, working privately in London Bridge and online, as well as providing therapy services to the NHS. I work flexibly and tailor my approach depending on the needs of the client. Essentially, I see my role as to help you come into a deeper and more authentic relationship with yourself, to support you to live and relate more fully in the world.

I work very much in the 'here-and-now', helping you process feelings and to take stock of where you are in your life. This might include exploring relationship dynamics, or the particular obstacles or decisions you might be facing in your life.

I have a deep respect for clients' process and their own unique journey through life. I recognise that clients will often know best what it is they need, and I provide a compassionate, listening space for what needs to be expressed and felt. At times, I may introduce exercises or suggestions, or question views or ideas where this might be of benefit; as such, sessions can vary between periods of energetic engagement between therapist and client, and times of space and deep reflection.

Often, we have recurring patterns that go back to childhood, ways we have learned to be in the world which can seem to limit us, rather than serve us. I have a particular interest in helping clients understand these patterns and where they may have resulted in a loss of connection with a more authentic sense of self; in doing so, this can help to restore the inherent wellbeing and value of our essential nature, which I believe is our birthright.

As a culture, we tend to spend a lot of time 'in our heads'. My experience has taught me that meaningful change requires a deepening relationship and sensitivity towards our feelings, effectively bringing us more into our bodies. I’m influenced by a range of practices, including mindfulness, which support clients to come more into a more immediate relationship with their direct experience.

The fit between the therapist and client is very important. The first session is an opportunity for us to get a sense of one another, and whether we might be a good match. My suggestion would always be to start with an initial session and see how that feels, before committing to any further work together.
