Rhiannon Robertson
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
Hello, I'm Rhiannon, a relational integrative therapist. This means that the relationship between client and therapist lies at the heart of my practice. The idea of therapy can be a daunting one, and sharing difficult experiences, fears and hopes with a complete stranger sounds like an odd concept. This is why I place huge importance on building a supportive and trusting relationship, where I encourage honest and open feedback from my clients. I very much view therapy as a collaborative process, where both therapist and client contribute.
You may be considering therapy for various reasons, be that relationship issues, trauma, bereavement, anxiety, stress, or you may feel stuck and unable to harness your full potential. In all these instances therapy can help to unpack your difficulties and gain a new perspective and clarity on a situation.
As an integrative therapist I am trained in three main therapeutic approaches; humanistic, cognitive behavioural and psychodynamic. This allows me to adapt my way of working to each client’s individual needs. My role is to sit alongside you whilst you explore your emotional world. I aim to help you to understand your motivations and patterns of behaviour, in order to build resilience and better manage the contradictions of life. I believe it's through our willingness to learn from our past and present experiences, that we can begin to be our most genuine self.
Alongside my private practice, I have worked as a psychotherapist in NHS primary and secondary care, and higher education settings. Most recently I was the Head of Counselling for a health charity that provides low cost counselling to vulnerable women.

Fees
My fees are £60 per session, however I offer a certain number of concessionary rates for those on low income. Each session lasts 50 minutes.
Every new client attends an initial consultation session. This is an opportunity for you to discuss in more detail what brings you to therapy, and for you to decide whether you feel we can work together.
Training and qualifications
I have a Masters in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Roehampton.
I am a registered member, British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. As a member of the BACP I adhere their ethical code of conduct. I am committed to developing my practice and regularly seek professional development opportunities.
