About Me

Hello, welcome to my profile. I am an experienced chartered counselling psychologist, specialising in psychological therapy and counselling for adolescents and young people (up to 25 years). As a counselling psychologist, I have in-depth training in a variety of evidence-based psychotherapy models.

A psychodynamic framework informs my thinking, which means I have an awareness of unconscious processes and an understanding of the impact of early experiences on present difficulties. Overall, my therapeutic approach is holistic and trauma informed, underpinned by an understanding of child psychology, attachment theory and developmental neuroscience.

I offer a warm, empathic, non-judgmental space, where issues can be explored and worked through at a pace that feels comfortable. In sessions, we will work together to develop an understanding of the young person’s inner world and to validate and put into words their experience. Young people often experience a lessening of distress, as anxieties are contained. The experience of feeling heard, seen and understood helps foster resilience and emotional wellbeing, leading to meaningful change.

I have over twenty years of experience providing psychological services across a range of contexts, including the NHS, child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), education, private practice and the voluntary sector. I hold chartered membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and am registered with the HCPC and adhere to their codes of ethics.

I work with a broad range of issues, from the everyday anxieties of adolescence, through to more severe and complex concerns, as well as with individuals seeking a reflective space for personal development.

I understand the importance of finding a therapist with whom you can comfortably work. With this in mind, I offer a free, 20 min consultation to discuss your needs and explore the possibility of working together. Please get in touch if you would like to schedule a time. In person appointments are available in Putney, SW London and online via Zoom.
