Lauren Boyce
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
Together we can navigate life's challenges, whether it be anxiety, depression, relationship issues or personal growth. Our therapeutic relationship will be key to fostering positive outcomes, I offer a space where you feel safe, supported and heard.
With a background in psychology, I have a good understanding of the complexities of the human mind and the various factors that influence our emotional well-being and behaviour.
First and foremost, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in ensuring positive therapeutic outcomes. With this in mind I strive to create a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space where you can express yourself freely and explore your thoughts and feelings. Together we will work towards your goals, whether this means developing coping strategies, enhancing self-awareness, or fostering personal growth.
As an integrative therapist, I believe in a holistic approach, recognising that each person is unique and deserves personalised care. Coming from a person-centred core, my therapeutic style is warm, empathic and collaborative. I will draw upon theories such as Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis (TA) in order to explore your past and present, as well as your relationships with others.
I have experience working in diverse therapeutic settings, both on-line and in-person assisting clients with a wide array of challenges, including generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), depression, infidelity, loneliness and issues related to divorce and separation, among others. Additionally, I have spent 3 years working in a school setting, where I support children as they navigate various life situations and transitions, such as separation anxiety, grief and loss, friendship dynamics and family related concerns.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest research in psychology and therapy. I regularly attend workshops and training sessions to enhance my skills and ensure that I provide the most effective and evidence-based practices to my clients.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to the ethical framework outlined by the professional body and I am committed to working safely and ethically with clients.
