Karen Bolton
Person-centred/humanistic counsellorAbout Me
Reaching out for help when you are feeling low, lost or under pressure can be the hardest thing. Take a breath and recognise that by reading this profile you have taken the first step towards gaining a greater understanding of your past and present and to finding more positive ways to face your future.
What I can offer
By choosing to work with me, you will be offered an open and welcoming space in which we will build a relationship based on acceptance, respect and exploration; together we will talk through the challenges and difficulties you may be facing.
I value the uniqueness of each individual experience and will tailor my approach to meet you where you are in your life – working with you so that you no longer feel stuck, unhappy or alone, reducing your anxiety, stress or depression and finding ways to make positive changes that improve your self-acceptance, self-esteem and personal confidence.
I have experience working with people who are neurodivergent, adapting my practice to ensure the needs of autism and ADHD are met in sessions.
