Integrative therapistAbout Me
I have spent much of my adult life engaged in psychotherapy from personal interest through to embarking upon a career in it. I have a background in media and advertising and I fully understand the pressures of the creative industries. I am a parent and understand the life changing impact of this experience.
I offer therapy to help you understand the challenges and complexities of your life. Modern life is demanding and often places pressure on your mental health. I can help you work on both recent and long-term difficulties by offering you a skilled approach to your life.
Taking time to work on yourself is critical to your wellbeing.
Finding the right therapist for you lies at the heart of successful therapeutic work; this can lead to positive, life enhancing change, allowing you to remove the obstacles in your way to a happier life.
If you are struggling with something please contact me, I am here to help.
Relationships, families, parenting, marital issues, divorce, loneliness, depression, addictions, bereavement and loss are issues that we will all face at some point in our lives. They can leave us feeling confused, lost and prevent us from living well.
Therapy with me provides a compassionate, skilled perspective on your issues. I work with open-ended contracts to meet your needs. The work can be challenging but very supportive and containing too. This will grow self awareness and provoke meaningful change leading to a more fulfilled life.
Grief comes in many forms, from the death of a close loved one, to the end of an important relationship and much more. I can help you healthily work through the pain and discomfort to a place of adjustment.
Depression
Depression can affect us at anytime. A sense of disconnection apathy and low mood. Talking therapy can help to alleviate and understand your feelings allowing you to move forward from the issue.
Relationships
Intimate, personal, professional. Relationships are at the heart of our existence, we can't survive without them. Couples, partners, spouses, siblings, children, friendship groups and colleagues. When they fail, cause conflict, confuse us or seem out of our reach it is very hard. By examining our relationships and experiences in therapy we can work towards satisfying and fulfilling connections.
Stress & Anxiety
Comparison culture, social media, pressure to achieve & conform..... the modern, fast paced, digital world is creating a pressure on us like no other. Therapy can help get a handle on this before it spins out of control.
Addictions & Compulsions
Internet, shopping, social media, alcohol, unhealthy relationships, food, drugs, gambling. These are just some of the many ways we can compensate for our feelings of low self esteem & worth. Through therapy we can understand that pain and endeavour to cultivate self care and compassion into our lives.
Self Development
You may have reached a point in your life that is not in crisis but is calling for a deeper understanding of self and how life's experiences have affected who you are. Therapy can work by revisiting, examining and integrating your experiences, removing obstacles and allowing growth to full potential.
