Jennie Hogan
Psychodynamic psychotherapistAbout Me
I have been supporting people with emotional difficulties for over 15 years. In psychodynamic therapy feeling better and understanding yourself is rooted in a developing relationship between us both. My goal is to offer you a safe, creative, and supportive space where painful feelings can be understood together.
Therapy can feel daunting because it may be the first time you have sat with someone and shared uncomfortable or even shameful feelings and experiences. Together, by meeting at the same time each week for 50 minutes in a quiet and safe consulting room in Bloomsbury, we can begin to explore feelings in the present, reflect on memories and past experiences. We can begin to find patterns which may help us discover more about your inner life, your desires, and your fears. My training has been long and thorough which enables me to listen more attentively and non-judgementally than you may ever have been listened to before.
I work with adults of all backgrounds and ages. I treat people experiencing a wide range of problems and concerns, from depression and addictions, to relationship problems and anxiety. I do not specialise in one particular area. In psychodynamic psychotherapy our focus is upon making links through digging deep rather than finding quick solutions. Hopefully, in choosing to come to therapy you will discover that it may be one of the most important decisions you make for yourself.
