About Me

Life can be a struggle for all of us at times, and how many of us can say we have a space to think and process what is going on for us. Therapy is the time where you matter and where you can sit in a calm space, explore your feelings, tell your story and just having a moment to think clearly without judgement or interruptions. Talking can be confronting, but it can also be freeing.

I am an experienced qualified therapist, who appreciates how hard it can be to open up to a stranger and explore deep feelings, maybe even traumatic ones. That’s why as your therapist I will offer a friendly, empathetic and approachable presence to my practice. As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I work to the BACP’s standards of Good Practice and their Code of Ethics. I trained as a psychodynamic therapist but bring a relational tone to the way I work as I appreciate we aren’t all comfortable with the smart shoes and long silence approach. The counselling space will be confidential, safe, non-judgmental and supportive for you to think about your feelings, explore the why’s and sit with the unknowns.

Through years of counselling and working in the childcare sector, I have come to acknowledge and appreciate our experiences in our early years are so impactful in shaping how we respond to events in our present. I have had the pleasure of working with many client’s from 18+ and understand the impact and challenges they are faced with in today’s society and the anxiety that comes with that.

I have experience of working with many different issues that affect our everyday lives. We all have our own individual needs this is not a “one size fits all” and whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, a work-related issue, going through a bereavement, or have suffered a trauma, I am here to work intuitively with you recognising we all have challenges to face and need some support working through them. I feel that at the heart of therapy is your relationship with your therapist which needs to have trust, respect, empathy and feel right for you.

I offer sessions on a weekly basis either day time or evenings that last 50 minutes. I can work face-to-face or online for open-ended or time-limited therapy.
