Dr Iqbal Mohiuddin
Human Givens psychiatristAbout Me
I have been providing bespoke private mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services since 2007. It has been a pleasure to have successfully helped and treated over a thousand private patients throughout the UK. I offer private consultation face-to-face or by online video.
I am fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK with a licence to practice, and on the GMC Specialist Register for General Psychiatry (GMC number 4579557). I am fully indemnified for NHS and private medical and psychiatric practice.
Born, bred, and educated in London, I graduated as a medical doctor from University College London (UCL) Medical School in 1999. I have worked in the NHS as a psychiatrist in Luton and Bedfordshire since 2000. I have worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist for adults (General Adult Psychiatry) since 2008.
Appreciating the mind-body link, I effectively combine talking therapies and medication only when needed for the safe and timely recovery of my patients. Having also completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Human Givens Therapy, I follow a holistic biopsychosocial approach to treatment and recovery. I consistently receive positive feedback from my patients and my professional colleagues.
As well as having extensive experience in successfully treating mood, anxiety and psychotic disorders, I have special interests in Adult ADHD diagnosis and treatment and Addiction Psychiatry.
I quickly develop effective therapeutic relationships with my patients and safely treat many common and complex mental health problems. A person-centred treatment plan for recovery is jointly agreed upon. Subsequent treatment or review sessions can be booked individually or in bulk for 15, 30 or 60 minutes.
