About Me

Hello, I'm Cora. I offer modern, down-to-earth therapy for Millennials, Gen. Z, and the LGBTQ+ community.

I'm experienced in helping people address stress, anxiety and depression; burnout and perfectionism; relationships, communication and boundaries; family challenges; low self-esteem and self-criticism; identity, life direction and meaning; bereavement, failure and loss; and gender, sexuality and relationship diversity (GSRD).

I also often work with people who can't quite put a finger on what brings them to therapy, but they know something needs to change - perhaps they want to feel less stuck, more comfortable within themselves, or as if their life fits them better. Sometimes nothing in particular is 'wrong', but we know things could feel more 'right'.

How I work:

Whatever brings you to therapy, I work with you to help you make the changes you want for yourself. At your pace, we explore your past, present and future, always keeping your goals for therapy at the forefront of our focus. Together, we look to develop more clarity, awareness and understanding, so that you can find the right way forward for you.

As an Integrative therapist, I blend together ideas from many different places. My work is underpinned by a background in philosophy, languages and literature, but film and TV, radio, sport and video games are also significant influences. Our everyday world is full of ideas that can deepen our understanding of our own experience, so I welcome the opportunity to discuss the art, culture, and terrible reality TV that speak to us: they provide both a window into ourselves and a shared language and context, through which we can explore together.

A little extra information about me:

I'm an Accredited member of the BACP, and have been in private practice since 2018. I'm sometimes joined in sessions by my calico cat Rizzo, who fortunately adheres to the same confidentiality standards as I do.

I also run a blog, in which I write about pop culture from a therapist's perspective (spoiler alert: I'm the therapist). You can find the blog on my website.

If you feel that I may be a good fit with what you're looking for, you're welcome to get in touch - send me an email, and we can take it from there.

Fees

My fees are on a sliding scale between £65 and £90 per 50-minute session, with a reduced fee of £60 for an initial session. You choose your own rate within this sliding scale.

I also offer low-cost appointments, so you're very welcome to get in touch if you'd like to ask me about these.

My practice is exclusively online, so all my sessions take place on Zoom.

I respond to every email I receive, so please check your spam folder if you're waiting to hear from me.

Training and qualifications

I have been working in my private practice since December 2018. My client base is almost entirely made up of people identifying within the Gen Y, Gen Z and/or LGBTQ+ communities.

I have particular experience of working with people in creative, tech and legal careers, and an interest in working with people with a background in competitive sport.

Prior to starting my private practice, I saw clients at agencies dedicated to therapy for loss, and stress, depression and anxiety.
