About Me

I invite you to take a pause, just for a moment, this may be the safe space you are seeking.  Life is hard and we all struggle at times, you don't have to carry this all on your own.  I'm here to provide a confidential healing space just for you to explore together what is causing you distress. I will listen to you and help you to make sense, little by little, about what is going on for you.  I’m an Integrative therapist who is passionate about supporting clients in their trauma recovery.  I integrate humanistic person-centered theories to establish and maintain the counselling relationship. I integrate elements of CBT to help a client understand the link between their thoughts, behaviours and feelings and integrate attachment theory principles with compassion focused therapy interventions.  I have a trauma informed focus to my work which includes providing psychogical education for my clients to help them increase self-awareness and self-efficacy.

Qualified to Level 5 counselling diploma level, I have delivered counselling practice within the BACP ethical framework since 2019 and I’m experienced in offering both time limited and open-ended therapy.  I have worked with both adults and children and young people who are victims/survivors of domestic, sexual and relational abuse. I practice counselling ethically and legally by contracting with clients, maintaining confidentiality and appropriate boundaries and I have the ability to work within a clear process to safeguard clients. I work under clinical supervision and participate in regular management supervision.  I work to embed equality, diversity and inclusion in my practice to better meet client needs.
