Transactional analysis counsellorAbout Me
I am a qualified Transactional Analysis (TA) Counsellor and am also in training for a Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy. TA provides a helpful and easy to comprehend framework for understanding our personality, our psychological development from childhood and our relationships with others (among many other things). I strongly believe in the healing benefits of therapy, and I’m committed to providing a safe, non-judgemental space for clients to share their experiences, thoughts, and feelings in an open and honest way.
People come to engage in therapy for all kinds of different reasons, from struggles with depression and anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, bereavement, stress etc. The therapeutic process can help us to find meaning in our experiences and to navigate more effectively through a world that can be very complex and challenging. It can help us to better understand ourselves, and to develop and grow in ways that we have not previously had the opportunity to do. Whatever the presenting complaint, I work in such a way as to get to know an individual in depth, and to discover with them the roots of some of the problems they are facing and what can be done to overcome them.
I have been interested in the topics of mental health and emotional well-being for many years. As well as embarking on my own personal journey to improve my mental health and heal some old psychological wounds, I have worked with many others over the years in their own respective paths towards a life of happiness, vitality and fulfilment. For the past four years, I have worked as a mental health support worker, and have really enjoyed building long-term supportive relationships with people with complex needs to help them become more independent and boost their sense of well-being.
