Do you like to meditate? Do you enjoy listening to guided meditations or relaxing music to get you in the zone? Whether you have been meditating for years or minutes, that’s no matter at all. I’m here to recommend six YouTube videos for you to listen to whenever you feel called to have a quiet moment.

1) 5 Minute Quick Anxiety Reduction - Guided Mindfulness Meditation

If any of you are experiencing anxiety, panic or prefer a quicker meditation, this 5-minute video is a count-down coupled with affirmations to help soothe you. Led by a very calming male voice, you will truly feel comforted and encouraged to stay present within a short space of time. I would primarily listen to this video if I felt uneasy about exams. It definitely helped keep me calm when I needed it the most. You can listen to this video any time you like, and it’s nice and quick if you don't have much time and need a quick-fix.

2) Theta Waves meditation

If you’re not too keen on guided meditations or don’t feel the need to listen to them, Theta Waves are brilliant as background noise when you want to focus. Listening to Theta Waves is a great way to help us heal and enter deep relaxation. This video is actually one of my favourites because, not only does it help me meditate, it also helps me sleep when I’m not in my alert, meditative state. I would also recommend this video for those looking to learn more about the benefits of Theta Waves.

3) Meditation - Self Love with Affirmations

This video is a guided 10-minute session led by a lovely lady called Agnes Vivarelli, who provides comforting self-love affirmations to help you relax, unwind and give yourself the ultimate form of self-care. You can listen to it in the morning, on your lunch break, before bed – you name it. I personally prefer to listen to this video in the morning before I get out of bed. It truly puts me in a great mood and gets me motivated for the day. If you’re interested in exploring more of Agnes’ channel, you will find an abundance of self-love and other types of meditations. You won’t be disappointed!

4) 3-hours relaxing music

Again, for those of you who aren’t as interested in guided meditation, you can listen to this relaxing music during your session. The music features background noises of a nature scene. These noises include flowing water and birds, so if you’re a lover of nature, this video is perfect for you.  I loved listening to this music when studying because it kept me focused for longer periods of time.

5) Abraham Hicks - general wellbeing meditation

For those interested in a deeper, more spiritual meditation, feel free to check out this video. It’s a 15-minute guided meditation led by a renowned name in the mindfulness world: Abraham Hicks. If you haven’t come across Abraham Hicks before, they are a consciousness channelled through a lady called Esther Hicks. She has hosted many inspirational talks and led many meditations, most of which are available on YouTube. If you search up ‘Abraham Hicks’ you will have so many videos to choose from, you won’t know where to start. I love that there’s so much content with Abraham, and I recommend you watch or listen to your heart’s content.

6) Guided sleep meditation

This video is a wonderful way to get into relaxation mode and drift off for the night. If you happen to have trouble sleeping, this meditation is for you. It features 12 minutes of a calming male voice, providing you with imagery and sounds of a tranquil beach scene. It’s very much a hypnosis-like session with the aim of sending you to sleep in the most peaceful state possible. If you don’t manage to fall asleep, at least you’ll be a great deal more relaxed. I’ve listened to this video myself if I’m feeling restless before bed. Let me tell you, it’s absolutely brilliant.

I hope these videos help you as much as they helped me. Remember, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been meditating. Your mindfulness journey is unique to you. If you’ve found a favourite or two, follow the links to the videos and enjoy!
